Zelda Burnett, 96, of Moravia, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 23, 2026.

Zelda was born December 29, 1929 in Interlaken, a daughter of the late Elmer and May (Cranston) Wyckoff. She was a graduate of Interlaken High School. She owned and operated a dairy farm in Groton with her first husband, Harold Cole, and thereafter farmed strawberries and vegetables in Florida with her second husband, Emory Burnett. She enjoyed music and was an avid reader.

Zelda is survived by her daughters, Theresa Horn, of Moravia, and Beatrice Valent, of Beaver Dams; her sons Robert Cole (Kathryn), of WA and Earl Cole (Patty), of MI; one granddaughter; five grandsons; a sister Ann Cavanaugh of PA; and a brother, Walter Wyckoff of NE.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by both husbands; four brothers and two sisters; grandson, Joseph Horn; and sons-in-law, Charles Valent and Robert Horn.

Private interment will be in Groton Rural Cemetery. There are no public services.
