Ray G. Hutchings, 93, of Groton, passed away on July 20, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness.

He was born on May 24, 1932 in Virgil, the son of the late Ray Curtis and Lillian (Austin) Hutchings. A lifelong area resident, Ray retired as a Motor Equipment Operator with the Town of Homer and had been a truck driver for the Sealtest Milk Plant. He had also trucked with the Mineah family operations. Ray attended the Reigning Miracles Ministry.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Laura (Evans) Hutchings, of Groton; children: Donna Kilmer (James), of Greeneville, TN, Barbara Painter (Daniel), of Crimora, VA, Timothy Hutchings (Patricia), of Cortland, Linda Rossignol, of Groton, and Kevin Hutchings (Terri), of Virgil; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Bruce Hollenbeck, of Virgil; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Janet Hollenbeck; a grandson, Mike Hutchings; and granddaughter, Jessica Hutchings Peer.
