Newell F. "Charlie" Fenner, Jr., 54, of Lansingville, passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2024 at his home.

Charlie was born on January 13, 1970 in Ithaca, son of Newell F. and Elizabeth "Sissy" (Boles) Fenner, Sr., who survive him. He was a graduate of Lansing Central School and enjoyed a 20+ year career with Borg Warner Automotive. As a 7th & 8th grade student in Arizona, he went undefeated in shot put and discus competitions, and at 14 years of age, excelled in the Junior Olympics. He enjoyed gardening & hunting and was known as a "darn good" carpenter!

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Codee Fenner (Hannah), of Locke; grandsons, Codee, Jr. and Carter Fenner; his brothers, Glenn (Laurie), Mark (Anita), and George (Wendy) Fenner; a sister, Marian Cantu (Kyle); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 16 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 10117 State Route 90, Genoa. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, preceding the service. Interment will be in Lansingville Cemetery. Family and friends will gather after the services at the Lansing Rod & Gun Club.
