Michael W. Pollack, Sr., 95, of Groton, passed away on June 17, 2023 at home.

Mike was born on December 18, 1927 in New York City, son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Velkie) Pollack. He resided on the family farm in West Groton most of his years and was a self-employed dairy and crop farmer all of his life. He enjoyed woodworking and building wood furniture.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty (Slocum) Pollack; his children: Ann Gillette (Rick), of FL, Christopher Pollack, of Groton, Marie Pollack, of Groton, Victoria Heyn (Heinrich), of Groton, Patricia Oakley (Francis "Rex") of NC, Michelle Filken (Jeff), of FL, Michael Pollack, Jr. (Donna), of Groton, and William Pollack, of Groton; twelve grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Katherine Bishop, of Groton; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and an infant brother, he was predeceased by his sisters, Josephine Kratochvil, Mary Strom, and Helen Kowalski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 26, 2023 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 312 Locke Road, Groton. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM- 12:00 Noon on Monday, preceding the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made toward food for the poor, as Mike had done for many years. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shurtleff Funeral Home, Groton.
