Martha J. Krebs, King Ferry, NY, passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 80.

Born April 23, 1943 to the late Audley and Mary Strickland, she was a graduate of Candor High School. Martha retired in 2003 from Emerson Power Transmission in Ithaca, after 25 years of service. Martha was a very caring, giving, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed country music, flower gardening, and spending time with family, especially her grandkids. She had a love for elephants, loved being a "snowbird" and spending her winters in Florida, often saying, "I love the sunshine, it makes me happy."

Martha is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank Krebs; her five children: Frank, Jr. (Mary), Duffer (Evelyn), Teddy (Denise), & Daryl (Angie) Krebs, and Martha (Mike) Hastings; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her siblings, Charlotte Shaw, Ken (Bonnie) Strickland, Dale (Eileen) Strickland; brothers-in-law, George (Esther) Krebs and Charles (Nancy) Krebs; and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Turk and Marge Rhodes.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters and their husbands, Loretta (Norm) Terwilliger and Gail (Harold) Maassen; a brother-in-law, Charles Shaw; and her in-laws, George and Evelyn Krebs.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 16 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 10117 State Route 90, Genoa. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM, preceding the service. Spring interment will be in Ridgeway Cemetery, Poplar Ridge.
