Marijane D. Seamans, 83, of Groton, passed away on March 26, 2024. She was born in Moravia, NY on September 30, 1940, the daughter of Orville and Vira (Downes) Tracy. She retired after 26 years from Smith-Corona and became a partner and owner, with her husband, Gerald, in the Family Deli in Moravia, NY for 25 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Audrey (Andrew) Ryerson, of Moravia; her son, Clifford (Martha) Augst, of Nashua, NH; step-daughters, Debra Murphy and Susan Wheeler, both of Locke; granddaughter, Jessica Ryerson, of Waltham, MA; and her companion, Harold "Porky" Peters, of Locke.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Seamans; a granddaughter, Melissa Murphy; a brother, William Tracy; and a sister, Beverly Sharpsteen.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Bird Cemetery, Locke, NY. There are no calling hours.
