Katheleen B. Morey

Katheleen B. Morey, 85, of Groton, passed away on April 25, 2026 at Cortland Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Katheleen was born July 26, 1940 in Cortlandville, a daughter of the late Jesse and Edna (Satterly) Harvey.  A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Cortland High School.  She retired from Dryden Central School as a teachers aide, and in earlier years, worked at Smith Corona, Woolworth's and as a child care provider.

She is survived by her six children: Jane Servage (Kevin), Robert Morey (Debra), Randy Morey (Nancy), Jeannie Morey, Chad Morey (Emily), and Steven Morey (Patricia); grandchildren: Stephanie (Ryan), Nicole (Alex), Landon, Tanner, Colin, Cameron, Alex, Conner, Annabel, and Adeline; and great-grandchildren: Owen and Emma. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert L. Morey, on October 17, 2010; brothers: Edward, Bernard, Joe, William and Fred Harvey; and sisters, Betty McCracken, Pearl Zane, and Beverly Batsford.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 30 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 103 Lincoln Avenue, Groton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, preceding services. Interment will follow at Groton Rural Cemetery.
