Janette Reeves, 82, of Ithaca, passed away on May 4, 2024 at Cayuga Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Janette was born on May 11, 1941, a daughter of the late Dwight and Esther (Keeney) Larson. A graduate of the Lansing schools, she retired after 33 years as a telephone operator with the Bell, NY Telephone, NYNEX, Bell Atlantic and Verizon organizations in Syracuse.

After retirement, Janette returned to the North Lansing area and continued her full life, giving time to local organizations including the local seniors, library, and cemetery. She assisted for many years at the Genoa Snack Bar and Laurie's Diner in Genoa.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Peter and Michael Larson; and extended relatives in the Larson, Keeney, Reeves and MacKenzie families.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Pamella Sue Reeves; and her siblings, Nancy, Tim, Perry "Brownie," and Connie.

A private graveside service for family will be held at a later time in North Lansing Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Shurtleff Funeral Home in Genoa. Online condolences may be shared at www.shurtleffservices.com .
