Gloria May (Webster) Knuppenburg, 79, formerly of Dryden, NY, went home to be with our savior on February 5, 2026, Louisville, KY.
Gloria was born January 29, 1947 in Franklin, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Sidney and Mary (McCoscoe) Webster. She was a graduate of Ithaca High School, Class of 1965, and was a resident of the Dryden area most of her life, relocating to Kentucky five years ago.
She and her late husband Leland owned and managed several businesses throughout the years, including Angelo's Dry Cleaners, Webster’s Dry Cleaners and area laundromat and car wash facilities. They also owned, developed and managed many properties. Gloria's passion was in breeding and showing her dogs, especially Cocker Spaniels and Tibetan Spaniels. She enjoyed playing cards, crafting and crocheting.
She is survived by a daughter, Karina (Joe) Draghi; sons, Leland III "Beau" (DoraLee) Knuppenburg, Sidney (Jessica) Knuppenburg; grandchildren: Erin, Elsa and Emmalee Knuppenburg and Karissa Crossman; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Leland F. Knuppenburg II, on March 9, 2006.
Friends may call Tuesday, February 17 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 103 Lincoln Avenue, Groton, where a brief funeral service will follow the calling hours officiated by Pastor Richard Lloyd. Burial in Willow Glen Cemetery will be delayed until spring.
