Geraldine W. Aiken, 88, formerly of Groton, passed away on November 7, 2024 in Knoxville, TN.
Gerry was born on July 15, 1936 in Cincinnatus, daughter of the late Fredrick and Delpha Weaver. An area resident all her life, she was a graduate of Cincinnatus High School and a devoted homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Loren P. "Sonny" Aiken on July 26, 2024.
She is survived by her children: Jared Aiken (Amber), of McGraw, Zelia Kellogg (Kevin), of Knoxville, TN, and Cindy Carter, of Marathon; grandchildren: Daniel, Donna, & Savannah Aiken, Mackenzie Kellogg, and Jeremy Hanford; great-grandchildren: Madison and Justin Hanford; a brother-in-law, James Aiken (Elaine); and a sister-in-law, Ruth Johnson (Jerry).
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 14 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 103 Lincoln Avenue, Groton, with interment to follow in McLean Cemetery.
