Donald L. Harvey, Sr.

Donald L. Harvey, Sr., 82, of Cayuga, New York, died on January 31, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Don was born July 15, 1943 to Clesson and Lydia (Trefz) Harvey. He attended Union Springs Academy before joining the Army in 1964. Donald loved to sing and was especially proud of his involvement with the Lakelanders, 4-part Harmony Barbershop, for many years. Don volunteered many hours at the Calvary Food Pantry in Auburn.

Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Harvey; his parents, Clesson and Lydia (Trefz) Harvey; and his brother, Richard Harvey.  He is survived by his children: Steven (Carrie) Harvey, of Mechanicsburg, PA, Donald (Chelsee) Harvey, Jr., of Cayuga, NY, Stephanie (Michael) Ringler, of Enola, PA, Sean (Karen) Harvey, of Auburn, NY; step-children: Pam (Michael) Davis, Dennis Schmutzler, George Schmutzler, Timothy Schmutzler, Julie Harriger, and Crystal (Michael) Wild; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, 3:00 P.M. in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 31 USA Way, Union Springs, NY 13160. Fellowship time will be held directly after the service.
