Donald J. Harrington, 88, of Groton, passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2026 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.
He was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony Catholic Church, where he served as an altar boy and usher, and had assisted with his father in fundraising toward construction of the current church in the 1970s.
A Prayer Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 28 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 103 Lincoln Avenue, Groton. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 - 11:00 at the funeral home, with interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
