David C. Nesbit

David C. Nesbit, 92, of Genoa, passed away on January 12, 2025, after a brief illness.

David was born January 31, 1932, in Genoa, son of the late Harold and Pauline (Hurlbut) Nesbit. A lifelong Genoa resident, he retired after 25 years with Cornell University and had worked previously for many years at Smith Corona (SCM). He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean War. 

He is survived by his children: Charles (Roxanne) Nesbit, of Genoa, David (Margaret) Nesbit, of Locke, and Tina Chamberlain (David), of Dunnellon FL; grandchildren: Nicole, Andrew, Linsey, and Lacey; and great-grandchildren: Jackson, Ayden, Ava, Jordan, Henry and Eleanor.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Lois (Starner) Nesbit in 2012.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at Genoa Rural Cemetery.
