Darrell J. Reeves, 58, of Auburn, passed away after a brief illness at The Commons on May 4, 2024.

Darrell was born on April 22, 1966 in Auburn, a son of Susanne (Murray) Perkins and Donald Reeves, both of Genoa. An area resident most of his life, he graduated from Southern Cayuga Central School and worked for many years as a carpenter in Georgia up until his accident. He had been an avid bowler, and his life greatly revolved around his children.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Randy Reeves (Nisreen), of FL; daughters, Sarah Dilks (George), and Amber Higgonbotham (Daniel), both of GA; nine grandchildren; brothers: Shawn Reeves (Beth), of Auburn, Robert Reeves (Carol), of Venice Center, and Michael Murray (Sherri), of King Ferry; step-siblings: Robert Perkins, Jr. (Laurie), of Moravia, Tammie Perry (Rajneesh), of Groton, and Franci VanWie, of Cayuga; half-brothers and sister: Troy Reeves (Charlotte), of Genoa, Joe Reeves (Paula), of Genoa, and Donyel Redmond (Jasper), of King Ferry; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his step-fathers, James Murray and Robert Perkins, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, May 11 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 10117 State Route 90, Genoa. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon-1:30 PM, preceding the services. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in King Ferry. Friends and family are invited to the North Lansing Firehouse following the services.
