Charles Ray Lillie

Charles Ray Lillie, 91, of Rochester, formerly of Groton, passed away on July 11, 2025.

Mr. Lillie was born on August 27, 1933, a son of the late Harold and Helen (Drake) Lillie. He attended Groton High School and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Chuck worked for many years with the Sandvik Group, a global high-tech engineering firm, where he developed and patented carbide tools for the oil industry, among other applications.

He is remembered by his companion, Karen Jackson, of Rochester, and brother, Mark Lillie, of Groton.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Donald H. Lillie and Gerald R. Lillie, Sr.

Graveside interment services with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 31 at Groton Rural Cemetery.
