Brenda B. Talbot

Brenda B. (Damon) Talbot, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 83.

Brenda was born on January 9, 1940 in Cortland, NY to Ada and Bill Damon.  On November 29, 1958, she married George Talbot and raised two daughters, Suzette and Vickie.  Brenda loved her coffee and conversations with family and friends.  She was a member of the Wednesday Night Women’s Bowling League in Groton for many years.  After 40 years of farming, she and George
retired and enjoyed many years together, traveling several times to visit family in South Carolina.  They also enjoyed scenic drives around the New York area.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzette Proper (Barry), of Groton, and Vickie Gilbert, of Simpsonville, SC; three grandchildren: Eric Gilbert (Brianna), Matt Gilbert, and Olivia Howarth (Nicholas); and four great-grandchildren: Carly Gilbert, Ethan Gilbert, Georgia Gilbert, and Forrest Gilbert. 

There are no calling hours, and a private graveside service will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America.
