Barbara C. Potter, 89, of Auburn, formerly of King Ferry, passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2024 at her home. 
Barbara was born on August 2, 1934 in Ringoes, NJ, the daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Marshall) Cornell.  She retired after 20 years as a police dispatcher with the Cayuga Heights Police Department, and in her earlier years, she had been employed with the FBI, working in Washington, DC. She enjoyed golfing, cards, and handy work.
 
Barbara is survived by her husband of 71 years, Donald Potter, of Auburn; her sons, Ronald Potter (Shirley), Rodney Potter (Linda), Richard Potter (Matthew), and R. Michael Potter (Debbie); ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Cornell (Barbara), of East Freetown, NY.
 
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the West Genoa Cemetery, King Ferry.  Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, are graciously directed to the King Ferry Food Pantry, P.O.
